Muhammad Asghar Khan joined
police as ASI on 15 march 1944 and was posted in
Camel Pur later on he remained posted in all most
all districts of Punjab. He was promoted as
Inspector in 1952 at the time of partition he was
SHO Waris Khan, Pundi. He participated voluntarily
Kashmir war in 1949.
He remained with Quaid e Azam, Liaquat Ali Khan,
Sikandar Mirza and Ayub Khan. He Served as S.S.P
Lahore, DIG Queta, Chief Security officer PIA, DIG
Multan, DIG crimes, Commissioner Social Security and
finally was retired in 1985, He was also elected as
MNA in 1997.
He was the hero of the people of Bhakkar and was
given the title of Mohsin e Bhakkar in 1993.
He was also the founder of district Bhakkar and it
was due to his keen efforts Bhakkar was declared
District in 1982.
He also served for the health, education and
employment of the people of Bhakkar due to his
efforts 5000 people from Bhakkar got jobs in Social
Security and thousands in police and other
departments. He was on the back of appointment of 6
DSPs in 70s. He makes efforts also in the field of
agriculture and make increase the water through Thal
Canal and other projects. He remained busy all the
day long to solve the problems of the people and his
door was open for everyone.
He visited many countries of the world attended
police training in U.S.A., U.K. etc.
He was mostly known by the name of Halakoo Khan in
